Stripes. Plaid. Denim. Three things I love. You can almost never go wrong when mixing stripes and plaid. Throw in a little denim and this 90s girl may just have a heart attack. That’s my childhood in one outfit. By now it’s no secret that I am a sucker for comfort and dresses. Especially as spring is approaching all my dresses are coming out. To me there is nothing better than a dress on a hot summer day. It’s the coolest way to endure summer heat.
This outfit is perfect for Spring and Summer! This flannel shirt is a tank top! How perfect is that? We can bring one of our favorite winter garments into the next seasons. Plaid over stripes is one of my favorite ways to mix prints. It’s a good look without getting too busy. Mixing one bold print with a simple print gives you a fun look with prints on prints and gives you the look like it was on purpose.
Everyone need this pattern in their life, stripes are something you can NEVER go wrong with. You can wear stripes alone but, add some accessories to the stripes and you have a very cute outfit! I pair striped with everything. Like I said above stripes are the simple, geometric print to your bold print. Stripes are a closet staple. No debate on this one and no questions asked.
Striped dresses are just fun. All year long they give you a little fun. They’re basically a solid to me. This one is cotton and light weight. ( surprise, something in my wardrobe is light weight, right? ) It’s a tank dress at a great length. This dress isn’t entirely too fitted. You can relax and feel comfortable in this dress. Who doesn’t love that?
Plaid is my go to, my ride or die, through the winter. I love plaid flannels through the winter. This flannel is a tank top. Sometimes I pair this dress with a long sleeved flannel as well. The Stripes compliment any flannel so nicely, like I said above. I love how this flannel gives that kind of rocker vibe. The combo of the two is all heart eyes.
Denim Jackets should be in everyone’s closet. They’re nice to throw on with anything. I love a denim jacket. This jacs been in my closet for years! Wearing denim on denim is in style right now. The light wash denim of this jacket looks so cute with my dark washed jeans! Plus, I can move in it. For years I hated wearing denim jackets because I felt so constricted in them. The fit of this one is loose. I believe it is a “Boyfriend fit” jacket. The sleeves aren’t tight but the body is fitted enough it doesn’t look too big.
Chucks have been a love of mine for years. I have a red pair, two white pairs, and two green pairs. I love them.. High top Chuck Taylors to be specific. I love to wear them with dresses. It gives a playful feel to a dress. You get to be comfortable and cute. I’m always up for a little fun in my wardrobe. This look is perfect for an afternoon with friends, shopping, or a long day that you need to be cute but comfort is key too!
A playful outfit is good for the soul. This outfit will transition so nicely into the warmer weather! I instantly gravitate toward denim, stripes, and plaid. If I can put an outfit together that has any of those three things, I’m happy. But when I put together an outfit with all three I am over the moon. Try pairing prints on prints!
Be adventurous and have fun!
